St James catholic high school newsletter

St.James catholic high school

From analysing the St James' school news letter i have found aspects that are good and bad. Firstly the newsletter does show some good aspects such as the layout of the letter, the newsletter is split up with the use of coloured text boxes. These are a good way to layout a page as it clearly shows separate stories in the newsletter. they are also good as they split up the text so it seems nicer to read as it is not one big block of text. the newsletter is also good as it involves visual aid to keep people interested as it breaks up the text and makes it look less daunting. The same text is also used all the way through, this makes it look more professional. The main title headings also stay in the same font as they are bold and slightly larger, this makes them stand out so you can clearly see what the section is talking about.

However images from this newsletter are not taken with a professional camera, this makes the newsletter look less formal and unprofessional. I can tell they are not taken with a professional camera as they clearly show the class with people looking very white in the photograph. Also the main title is not very colourful  or bright, this makes it look boring and uninteresting.

However the newsletter is successful in the fact that it successfully targets its target audience, this is through the formality of its layout with it being more formal, with the use of fonts and language used. It also gives information that is relevant to the parent as they need to know events etc that are happening in the school.
